  1. Hi Menaka.
I still haven't had a chance to bake this but I will soon. Just a quick question: if I use plain flour how much of baking powder should I add?
Thank you and Happy New Year!

    1. Hi Lee,
To convert plain flour into self-raising flour, add two teaspoons of baking powder to each cup of plain flour. Adding one teaspoon of cream of tartar and half a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda to one cup of plain flour gives the same result.

  2. Thank you, Menaka. I am baking it right now and I am sure I am gonna love it! : )

  3. What do you think would happen if I used more sour cream (watered down to the consistency of milk) instead of milk? Milk - sour cream - so similar, right?

  4. Hi pls what can be used in place of a sour cream Dont think we have them here in Nigeria and can u pls convert ur recipe cups into grams pls thank u

    1. one table spoon of lemon or lime or apple cider vinegar.

  5. Can I use normal cream instead of sour cream?
