Custard Cream Cookies
Ingredients
- 170g Softened butter
- 2 Egg yolks
- 60g Icing sugar
- 60g Caster sugar
- 2tsp Vanilla
- 330g All purpose flour
For the custard cream
- 110g butter
- Yellow food colouring
- 3 Tblsp custard powder
- 150g Icing sugar
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180c.
- Prepare a cookie tray.
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Add egg yolks next and mix one min.
- After add vanilla and plain flour . mix well.
- Cut the cookies to your desired shapes.
- Put them on cookie sheets and bake 10-15min or until slightly brown.
- Mix all the ingredients for the custard cram until smooth.
- Cool on wire rack. When its completely cold pipe or spread icing mix and sandwich them.
- Enjoy with a cup of tea or coffee.
